These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Reelfellas ("Reelfellas," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Reelfellas mobile app (the "App"). By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Reelfellas. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide during signup is accurate.
2. Your Account
- You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You may sign up with an email and password, or sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple.
- One account per person. You agree not to create an account for anyone other than yourself, or to impersonate any person or entity.
- You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Description of the Service
Reelfellas lets you rate movies and TV shows, build a watchlist, follow other users, post about what you're watching, get personalized recommendations based on shared taste, and see where a title is available to stream. Some features (Invite Friends, notifications, profile photos, Import Your Ratings) require you to grant an optional device permission — declining a permission only limits that specific feature, not your ability to use the rest of the App.
Reelfellas is currently free to use, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we'll update these Terms and give you notice before any change that affects you.
4. Movie, TV, and Streaming-Availability Data
Reelfellas' catalog — titles, artwork, cast and crew information, and streaming-availability badges — is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. We do our best to keep this information accurate, but we don't guarantee it — streaming availability in particular can change at any time without notice, and Reelfellas is not responsible for a title being unavailable on a platform after we've shown it as available. Tapping a streaming badge takes you to a third-party app or website outside our control (see Section 9).
5. Your Content
- You own what you post. Posts, comments, ratings, reviews, and any photos you upload remain yours.
- You grant us a license to use it. By posting content on Reelfellas, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and provide the App to you and other users (for example, showing your post in a friend's feed, or your rating on a movie's detail page).
- You're responsible for your content. You represent that you have the rights to post whatever you share, and that it doesn't violate these Terms, any law, or any third party's rights.
- When you delete a post or comment, or close your account, we remove it as described in our Privacy Policy — but content that another user has already reshared, screenshotted, or otherwise copied outside the App is outside our control.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Reelfellas to post, send, or do any of the following:
- Spam, or content unrelated to the App's purpose.
- Harassment, bullying, or threats directed at another person.
- Hate speech, or content that attacks people based on a protected characteristic.
- Nudity or sexually explicit content.
- Content depicting or promoting violence, or genuinely dangerous activity.
- Impersonation of another person, or a Reelfellas account, employee, or brand.
- Anything that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Anything illegal, or that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempting to access another user's account, scrape the App, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with its normal operation.
We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate this section — see Section 7.
7. Reporting, Blocking, and Enforcement
You can report a post, comment, or user directly in the App, and block another user at any time. Blocking someone removes any existing follow relationship between you and prevents further interaction in both directions. Content that receives multiple independent reports may be automatically hidden pending our review.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to remove any content and to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. If your account is suspended or banned, you'll be signed out and won't be able to sign back in with that account.
8. Intellectual Property
The Reelfellas name, logo, and app design are our property (or that of our licensors) and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our written permission. Movie/TV data and artwork sourced from TMDB remain the property of TMDB and its content providers.
If you believe content on Reelfellas infringes your copyright, contact us using the details in Section 15 with enough detail for us to identify and address it.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The App integrates with, and may link or redirect you to, third-party services we don't control, including:
- Streaming platforms (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and others) when you tap a streaming badge.
- Google and Apple, for sign-in.
- The Movie Database (TMDB), for catalog data.
We aren't responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party service. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
10. Account Termination
- By you — you can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Close my account. This is immediate and irreversible; see our Privacy Policy for what gets deleted.
- By us — we may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the App. Where reasonably possible, we'll give you notice first.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Reelfellas is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including — to the fullest extent permitted by law — any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that movie/TV/streaming-availability data will always be accurate or current.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reelfellas and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months (which, as of these Terms, is likely to be zero, since Reelfellas doesn't currently charge for anything).
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Reelfellas harmless from any claim, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the App.
14. App Store Terms (Apple App Store users)
If you downloaded Reelfellas from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and you and Reelfellas both acknowledge:
- These Terms are between you and Reelfellas only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- In the event the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any claim that the App or your use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the App or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Udumalpet / Tirupur, Tamil Nadu.
