There are only two kinds of movies: the ones you like, and the ones you don’t.
No film is good or bad for everyone. Taste is personal, so the best recommendation has never been an average score. It comes from someone who likes what you like. Reelfellas exists to find that person, and now to give them a smart assistant.
Where it started
A friend who gets your taste
Reelfellas started with a simple observation. The films we loved most never came from a top-ten list or a star rating. They came from one person who had seen the same strange, wonderful things we had and said, “you have to watch this.”
So we built a place to find those people. You favourite the films that shaped you, we match you with Reelfellas whose favourites overlap yours, and their picks become your recommendations. It’s not a streaming app, and it’s not a generic algorithm. It’s a network of people with your taste.
What we are now
Your AI and your community, working together
People are great at taste but can’t be awake at 1am when you need a pick. AI is always there but gets it confidently wrong. Neither one alone gets your taste right, so Reelfellas uses both, and each checks the other.

Reads how a film felt, not just its genre, and ranks your watchlist by your actual ratings.

Real Reelfellas agree or disagree with every AI pick, send films straight to each other, and argue about them in the feed.
